L'analyseur capte aussi des grandeurs relatives à la tension mécanique des cordes et l'amplitude de leurs vibrations, pour connaître le portamento et l'amplitude voulus par l'instrumentiste. L'analyseur transmet des informations à un récepteur qui commande un instrument de musique-cible.
