Abstract In a waterbed mattress a novel wave dampening belt of unwoven polypropylene fibers bonded together with an ethylene acrylic acid binder so as to provide the resultant belt with a specific gravity in the range of 0.9 to 0.999. Polyester fibers may advantageously be mixed with the polypropylene fibers.
