Immunogenic polysaccharide-protein conjugates having a polysaccharide antigen (or its oligosaccharide fragment representing one or more antigenic epitopes) derived from a nosocomial pathogen conjugated to a staphylococcal surface adhesin carrier protein are used in immunogenic compositions to elicit antibody responses to both the polysaccharide antigen and the staphylococcal surface adhesion carrier protein. Such immunogenic compositions are used to immunize against diseases caused by Staphylococcal aureus, Staphylococcal epidermidis or other nosocomial pathogens.

L'invention concerne des conjugués de protéine-polysaccharide possédant un antigène de polysaccharide (ou son fragment d'oligosaccharide représentant au moins un épitope antigène) dérivé d'un pathogène nosocomial conjugué à une protéine porteuse d'adhésine superficielle staphylococcique, qui sont utilisés dans des compositions immunogènes destinées à éliciter des réponses d'anticorps aussi bien à l'antigène de polysaccharide qu'à la protéine porteuse d'adhésine superficielle staphylococcique. De telles compositions immunogènes servent à immuniser contre des maladies provoquées par le staphylocoque doré, le staphylocoque epidermidis ou d'autres pathogènes nosocomiaux.
