ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a polyurethane coating composition which displays enhanced adhesion when applied as a topcoat over an already existing coating. The composition contains an organic zinc compound in an adhesion-enhancing amount. As a consequence of the enhanced adhesion, a polyurethane topcoat can be applied over an existing polyurethane coating without any special preparation steps other than degreasing.
