The invention discloses a method and composition for curing TDI-terminated polyether polyol prepolymers with a curative comprising a dihydroxy substituted alkyl or aryl tertiary amine such as phenyldiethanolamine and, optionally, various short-chain diol and/or triol components. The resulting polyurethane elastomers have both low hardness, ranging from Shore A Durometer values of about 20 to about 60, as well as high (greater than or equal to 30) trouser tear values.

L'invention concerne un procédé et une composition pour durcir un prépolymère du type polyéther polyol à terminaisons toluylène diisocyanate, avec un agent de vulcanisation comprenant une dihydroxy alkyle (substitué) ou aryl amine tertiaire comme par exemple la phényldiéthanolamine et, éventuellement, différents diols à chaîne courte et/ou triols. Les élastomères de polyuréthane ainsi obtenus ont une dureté basse avec des valeurs de duromètre Shore A allant de 20 environ à 60 environ, ainsi que des valeurs de résistance au déchirement atteignant ou dépassant 30.
