Polyurethane emulsion compositions into which a functional group (active amino group) being effective in the reaction with a cross-linking agent is positively introduced are disclosed. The polyurethane emulsion compositions are obtained by dispersing in water and emulsifying a urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group at molecular terminal, then adding a polyamine having at least two primary amino groups and at least one secondary amino group in the molecule to the system and allowing the system to react. When used with a cross-linking agent such as an epoxy cross-linking agent, the compositions exhibit significant improvements in their physical properties, such as strength, after just air drying.

L'invention porte sur des compositions d'émulsions de polyuréthane, dans lesquelles est introduit positivement un groupe fonctionnel (groupe amino actif), efficace dans une réaction avec un réticulant. Ces compositions d'émulsions de polyuréthane sont obtenues en dispersant dans l'eau et en émulsifiant un prépolymère d'uréthane renfermant un groupe isocyanate en bout de chaîne, puis en ajoutant au système une polyamine possédant au moins deux groupes amines primaires et au moins un groupe amine secondaire, et en laissant réagir le système. Lorsque ces compositions sont utilisées avec un réticulant comme un époxyde, leurs propriétés physiques, comme la résistance, se trouvent améliorées même après un simple séchage à l'air.
