Rigid, closed-cell polyurethane foams are produced by a RIM process by reacting an organic polyisocyanate with an isocyanate-reactive mixture in which a significant amount of a bio-based polyol is present. The foams produced by this process are characterized by improved heat sag and heat distortion temperature.

Des moussses de polyuréthane rigides, à alvéoles fermés, sont produites grâce à un procédé de moulage par injection/réaction (RIM), en faisant réagir un polyisocyanate organique et un mélange réactif d'isocyanante, dans lequel est présente une importante quantité d'un polyol à base de produit biologique. Les mousses obtenues grâce à ce procédé se caractérisent par une température améliorée d'affaissement et de déformation à chaud.
