Polyurethane foams can be prepared which have improved retention of insulative properties. The foams were prepared from formulations including a glycerine initiated ethoxylated polyol prepared from a formulation including from two to three moles of ethylene oxide per mole of glycerine initiator and/or a tri- to octa-functional substantially linear hydroxy alkane initiated ethylene carbonate ethoxylated polyol prepared from a formulation including from 2 to 15 moles of ethylene carbonate per mole of initiator wherein the ratio of moles of ethylene carbonate to initiator functionality is from 0.5 to less than 2.
On a préparé des mousses de polyuréthane ayant une rétention améliorée des propriétés d'isolation. On a préparé lesdites mousses à partir de formulations comprenant un polyol éthoxylé amorcé par de la glycérine préparé à partir d'une formulation comprenant de deux à trois moles d'oxyde d'éthylène par mole d'initiateur glycériné et/ou un polyol éthoxylé de carbonate d'éthylène amorcé par l'hydroxy alcane sensiblement linéaire tri- à octo-fonctionnel préparé à partir d'une formulation comprenant de 2 à 15 moles de carbonate d'éthylène par mole d'initiateur, dans laquelle le rapport molaire entre le carbonate d'éthylène et l'initiateur de fonctionnalité est de 0,5 à moins de deux.
