ABSTRACT "Polyurethane of trans-cyclohexane-1,4-diisocyanate" A polyurethane obtainable by reacting cyclo- bexane-1,4-diisocyanate having a trans-isomer content of at least 90 % with a diol having a molecular weight of from 800 to 4000 and a chain-extender is disclosed. Such polyurethanes may be distinguished by high softening temperatures, low glass transition temperatures, high absorption for low elongation, extreme hardness, high abrasion resistance, stability to light and resistance to solvents. \
