The present invention relates to polyurethane polyol compositions comprising the reaction product of a polyisocyanate, a polyol, and a Guerbet alcohol having at least (12) carbon atoms or a Guerbet alcohol mixture having an average of at least (12) carbon atoms. Preferred polyols are .alpha., .beta. diols and .alpha., .gamma. diols. The polyurethane polyol compositions exhibit very low viscosity and are particularly useful in very low VOC coating compositions. The resulting cured coating provides surprisingly improved properties.
La présente invention concerne des compositions de polyol de polyuréthane comprenant le produit réactionnel d'un polyisocyanate, d'un polyol, et d'un alcool de Guerbet possédant au moins 12 atomes de carbone ou un mélange d'alcools de Guerbet possédant en moyenne au moins 12 atomes de carbone. Des polyols préférés sont des diols alpha , beta et des diols alpha , UPSILON . Les compositions de polyol de polyuréthane présentent une très faible viscosité et sont particulièrement utiles dans des compositions de revêtement à très faible COV. Le revêtement polymérisé obtenu possède des propriétés étonnamment améliorées.
