For aquatic recreational devices, it is convention to have a lightweight, buoyant target float on the water's surface through which a bail can be thrown. In this invention, the swimming pool's diving board or ladder is used to provide a stationary base from which a hoop and backboard is extended. Truss elements (pipe lengths) are easily varied to accommodate various board and ladder sizes and shapes. The entire assembly can be installed or removed in moments due to its removable position locking piece(s) (different piece(s) for the ladder and diving board arrangements). This configuration provides a rugged. lightweight, weather resistant, pool-safe (no sharp edges), stationary target (for balls) with backboard; ideally suited for competitive "pool basketball" matches.
