The present invention is a pool cover roller apparatus comprising a roller tube having first and second ends and including one or more tube sections, having sufficient length to fit across a pool and having a tube wall that, in cross-section, regularly alternates around the tube between first wall portions and second wall portions where the first wall portions protrude more radially outward than the second wall portions, two brackets, each sized to fit onto an opposite edge of a pool and having an upper plate, two sleeves, each mounted to rotate in an upper plate of a bracket and having first and second apertures, a first end connector having a crank handle to permit an operator to apply torque, having an axle shaft to fit into a first aperture to turn within a sleeve, having an axle stop between the crank handle and the axle shaft to abut against the first aperture to limit the longitudinal movement of the axle shaft relative to the sleeve, a tube insert sized to slide in close connection within the first end of the tube to establish a keyed relationship with at least some of the first and second tube wall portions to prevent rotation of the tube insert relative to the tube, and a tube stop located between the tube insert and the axle shaft to abut against the first tube end, a fastener to catch about a second aperture to secure the first end connector within the first sleeve, a second end connector having an axle shaft to fit into a first aperture to turn within a sleeve, an axle stop at one end of the axle shaft to abut against the first aperture to limit the longitudinal movement of the axle shaft relative to the sleeve, a tube insert sized to slide in close connection within the second end of the tube to establish a keyed relationship with at least some of the first and second tube wall portions to prevent rotation of the tube insert relative to the tube, and a tube stop located between the tube insert and the axle shaft to abut against the second tube end, a fastener to catch about a second aperture to secure the second end connector within the sleeve, and an appendage means to fasten the pool cover along the length of the tube.
Cette invention porte sur un rouleau de couverture de piscine composé d'un tube ayant une première extrémité et une deuxième extrémité, et composé d'une ou de plusieurs sections, et d'une longueur suffisante pour couvrir toute la largeur de la piscine, la paroi du tube ayant une section transversale formée en alternance de parties radialement en saillie et de parties radialement en creux, de deux équerres dimensionnées pour des bords opposés de la piscine et comportant une plaque supérieure, deux manchons pouvant chacun pivoter dans une plaque supérieure d'équerre et ayant une première et une deuxième ouvertures, un connecteur de la première extrémité doté d'une poignée de manivelle permettant à une personne d'appliquer la force nécessaire pour l'entraîner, avec un axe s'adaptant dans une première ouverture pour tourner à l'intérieur d'un manchon, et un arrêt d'axe entre la manivelle et l'axe pour s'appuyer contre la première ouverture et limiter le déplacement longitudinal de l'axe par rapport au manchon, une pièce qui s'engage dans le tube et qui est dimensionnée de façon à glisser en relation étroite avec la première extrémité du tube pour former un clavetage avec au moins des parties de la paroi du tube pour empêcher la rotation de ladite pièce par rapport au tube. Un arrêt de tube est placé entre la pièce qui s'engage dans le tube et l'axe pour appuyer contre la première extrémité du tube, et une pièce de fixation pour retenir une deuxième ouverture et fixer le connecteur de la première extrémité à l'intérieur du premier manchon, le connecteur de la deuxième extrémité ayant un axe qui s'engage dans la première ouverture et tourne à l'intérieur d'un manchon, l'extrémité de l'axe comportant un arrêt qui s'appuie sur la première ouverture pour limiter le déplacement longitudinal de l'axe par rapport au manchon, une pièce qui s'engage dans le tube et qui est dimensionnée de façon à glisser en relation étroite avec la deuxième extrémité du tube pour former un clavetage avec au moins des parties de la paroi du tube pour empêcher la rotation de ladite pièce par rapport au tube. Un arrêt de tube est placé entre la pièce qui s'engage dans le tube et l'axe pour s'appuyer contre la deuxième extrémité du tube, et une pièce de fixation pour retenir le connecteur de la deuxième ouverture à l'intérieur du manchon et un dispositif pour fixer la couverture de la piscine sur la longueur du tube.
