This invention relates to a passive means to provide full time monitoring of unattended swimming pools, where the unit activates remotely and is self contained resting on the surface of the water. Signals received from the motion of wave action which cause the cone to tilt and contacts to close, or sounds received from the hydrophone as a result of agitation in the water result in the circuit activating the power supply pulling in a timer relay contactor which subsequently supplies power to a transmitter. This application of power activates the transmitter which then transmits information to an in-house receiver which converts the signal into a command for operation of Claxton horns or other audio notification devices including phone dialers etc.
