This invention relates to pop-open bowls or trays, and in particular to planar devices that can be folded from a single sheet of material into free standing three dimensional bowls or trays for holding or containing various items or substances. Bowls, trays or boxes foldable from a single sheet of material are often complex devices with numerous tabs and slots and are therefore expensive to manufacture and difficult and time consuming to assemble into a functional form. What is provided by the present invention is a bowl, foldable from a single sheet of material, which can be erected to a usable form in one single rapid motion and consists of no interlocking tabs or notches to complicate that operation.

L'invention porte sur des bols ou des plateaux à montage rapide et plus particulièrement sur des dispositifs planaires. Ces derniers peuvent être montés en pliant une seule feuille de matériau afin de créer des bols ou des plateaux tridimensionnels sans support pouvant contenir différents articles et substances. Les bols, les plateaux ou les boîtes qui se montent en pliant une feuille unique de matériau sont souvent des dispositifs compliqués comprenant de nombreuses languettes et fentes. De fabrication coûteuse, ils sont en plus difficiles et longs à monter en une forme fonctionnelle. L'invention offre donc un bol, obtenu en pliant une seule feuille de matériau, qui peut être monté en un objet utilisable d'un seul mouvement rapide, car elle ne comprend ni languettes ni entailles d'interverrouillage qui compliquent l'opération.
