393 P/7 CA POP UP STOPPER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A manually operable pop up stopper for a sink or the like comprises a head for sealing the sink and a tail for entry into the sink drain tube. Shoulders are provided on the tail which are positioned to engage in overflow wall openings of the drain tube, thereby limiting the upward axial movement of the stopper. Portions of the tail are configured to be biased into contact with the interior wall of the drain tube to retain the stopper in an axially set position.
