The invention concerns porcine circovirus strains isolated from pulmonary and ganglionary specimens derived from livestock suffering from postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS). It concerns purified preparations of said strains, attenuated or inactivated standard vaccines, recombinant live vaccines, plasmid vaccines and subunit vaccines, as well as diagnostic reagents and methods. The invention also concerns DNA fragments useful for producing subunits in a expression vector in vitro or as sequences to be integrated in an expression vector in vivo of virus or plasmid type.

L'invention concerne des souches de circovirus porcin isolées à partir de prélèvements pulmonaires ou glanglionnaires provenant d'élevage atteints par le syndrôme de dépérissement généralisé de post-sevrage (en anglais PMWS). Elle concerne des préparations purifiées de ces souches, des vaccins classiques atténués ou inactivés, des vaccins vivants recombinants, des vaccins plasmidiques et des vaccins de sous-unités, ainsi que des réactifs et méthodes de diagnostic. Elle concerne aussi des fragments d'ADN pouvant être utilisés pour la production de sous-unités dans un vecteur d'expression in vitro ou comme séquences à intégrer dans un vecteur d'expression in vivo de type virus ou plasmide.
