ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A porous hollow-fiber formed of polyolefin. The fiber has a peripheral wall constituted by a plurality of relatively large rods, or strands, of the polyolefin which run substantially perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the hollow-fiber and a plurality of fine fibrils which extend in the longitudinal direction of the hollow-fiber between adjacent rods and are connected thereto. Groups of rectangular fine pores are formed by the rods and fine fibrils. The hollow-fiber has groups of fine pores having uniform size and configuration and is excellent in selective separation capabilities.
