Highly porous substance-selective polymeric membranes are produced by co- polymerisation of functional monomers and cross-linker in the presence of template, plasticiser (non-extractable component), and pore-forming component (extractable component). Extraction of the template and porogen molecules leads to the formation of small (< 100 nm) and large (> 500 nm) pores, including small pores having a shape and arrangement of functional groups complementary to the template molecule. The membranes possess enhanced affinity towards the template and its analogues and also have high flexibility and porosity. Such membranes can be used in analytical chemistry (as sensor elements and for solid-phase extraction materials) for applications in pharmacology, medicine, the food industry, water purification and environmental clean up.

L'invention concerne des membranes polymères très poreuses à sélection de substances que l'on obtient par copolymérisation de monomères fonctionnels et d'un agent de réticulation en présence d'une matrice, d'un plastifiant (composant non soluble) et d'un composant de formation de pores (composant soluble). La dissolution de molécules matrices et porogènes entraîne la formation de petits (< 100 nm) et grands (> 500 nm) pores, y compris de petits pores ayant une forme et une disposition en groupes fonctionnels complémentaires à la molécule matrice. Les membranes possèdent une affinité améliorée à l'égard de la matrice et de ses analogues et font preuve d'une forte flexibilité et porosité. De telles membranes peuvent être utilisées dans la chimie analytique (comme éléments capteurs et pour des matières de dissolution en phase solide) dans des applications en pharmacologie, en médecine, dans l'industrie alimentaire, la purification de l'eau et le nettoyage environnemental.
