A portable aerosol-type fire-fighting protection device comprises a hollow body (1) which includes in the interior (10) thereof, and communicating with the exterior by way of an opening (3), a chamber (11) for accommodating a solid substance (7) capable of being transformed at a given temperature into an aerosol with flame-extinguishing properties and being discharged as such by way of the opening. A handle (2) is fixed with respect to the body and within its interior there is a space. The accommodating chamber has an electrical resistor (12) for triggering the transformation from solid into aerosol, energised by way of a switch (13) from batteries (14) accommodated in the space (15) in the handle.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de protection contre l'incendie portable du type aérosol. Ce dispositif est constitué d'un corps (1) creux dont l'intérieur (10) renferme une chambre qui communique avec l'extérieur par l'intermédiaire d'un orifice (3), cette chambre (11) étant destinée à loger une substance (7) solide capable d'être transformée à une température donnée en un aérosol qui présente des propriétés d'extinction de flamme et peut être pulvérisé tel quel par l'intermédiaire dudit orifice. Le dispositif de cette invention comporte également une poignée (2) fixée par rapport audit corps, un espace étant ménagé à l'intérieur de cette poignée. La chambre destinée à loger la substance solide est pourvue d'une résistance (12) électrique conçue pour provoquer la transformation de cette substance solide en aérosol, cette résistance étant mise sous tension par l'intermédiaire d'un interrupteur (13), grâce à des piles (14) disposées dans l'espace (15) ménagé à l'intérieur de ladite poignée.
