ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides a portable container for valu- able documents provided with a lockable lid and containing weans which when activated has an effect on the valuable documents, the container further being provided with two locks, one of which automatically takes a blocking position when the lid is opened and in this blocking position prevents the lid from being security locked, and the other, of which is of a code type and in a locked position prevents opening of the lid and has an activating device to activate said means if an attempt to open the lid with an incorrect code is made.
