A portable, collapsible goal structure with attached net that can be used in the game of hockey is disclosed. The goal structure consists of two U-shaped members, lying in perpendicular planes and forming an "L", each consisting of a series of tubes containing a slot or channel running along the side of each tube and extending into the tube, from one end of the tube to the other to form a continuous slot or channel along the inside of the L shape of the goal structure. Knots at the perimeter of a net are fed into the slots or channels of each tube when the tubes are disconnected from one another. The tubes and the U-shaped members are then connected to one another by elbows and tension release mechanisms. When the tubes are disconnected, the goal structure remains in one piece with each tube connected to the net.
