ABSTRACT The present invention is a light and portable decontamination compartment that does not require an external frame. The compartment may be fitted with a vacuum evacuation system. A simple internal frame defines the horizontal cross- section of the vertical wall structure of the enclosure when the compartment is suspended by a hook, line or rod. When disengaged from its support, the compartment may be completely collapsed through vacuum evacuation ports. The compartment may be fitted with a shower or similar decontamination system for cleaning workers. A three chamber decontamination unit may be constructed from three of the compartments when they are juxtaposed and attached.
