A portable electronic device with a touch screen display for photo management is disclosed. One aspect of the invention involves a computer-implemented method in which the portable electronic device displays an array of thumbnail images corresponding to a set of photographic images. The device replaces the displayed array of thumbnail images with a user-selected photographic image upon detecting a user contact with a corresponding thumbnail image in the array. The user-selected photographic image is displayed at a larger scale than the corresponding thumbnail image. The portable device displays a different photographic image in replacement of the user-selected photographic image in accordance with a scrolling gesture. The scrolling gesture comprises a substantially horizontal movement of user contact with the touch screen display.
L'invention concerne un dispositif électronique portatif comportant un afficheur tactile en vue de la gestion de photographies. Un premier aspect de l'invention met en AEuvre un procédé implanté dans un calculateur dans lequel le dispositif électronique portatif affiche une matrice d'images timbres-poste correspondant à un jeu d'images photographiques. Le dispositif remplace la matrice affichée d'images timbres-poste par une image photographique sélectionnée par l'utilisateur lors de la détection d'un contact de l'utilisateur avec une image timbre-poste correspondante dans la matrice. L'image photographique sélectionnée par l'utilisateur est affichée à une plus grande échelle que l'image timbre-poste correspondante. Le dispositif portatif affiche une image photographique différente en remplacement de l'image photographique sélectionnée par l'utilisateur conformément à un geste de défilement. Le geste de défilement comprend un mouvement sensiblement horizontal du contact de l'utilisateur avec l'écran tactile.
