The invention provides a faucet extension assembly which may be connected via a standard garden hose to an external wall mounted faucet and left in place for extended periods of time to provide for a portable, height-adjustable, device which can deliver a controlled flow of water at a convenient height without external means of support. The portable, free-standing, faucet extension of the present invention comprises a base, and an upstanding member having an upper end and a lower end, the lower end being secured to the base. A tubular conduit has first and second ends, the first end having means for coupling the tubular conduit to a distant water source, and the second end having means for coupling said tubular conduit to a spigot. A spigot is coupled to the second end of the tubular conduit. The tubular conduit is secured to the upper end of the upstanding member, between the first and second ends of the tubular conduit, such that the tubular conduit is oriented substantially parallel to the base.
