A portable folding seat includes a body on which is positioned a seat. A first arm, a second arm, and a back are pivotally secured to the body by hinges, each which is positioned on a different plane. This results in a unique configuration when the first arm, the second arm and the back are pivoted to a stored position. The stored position for the first arm is along a first plane parallel to the seat. The stored position for the second arm is along a second plane parallel to the first plane and parallel to the seat. The stored position for the back is along a third plane parallel to the first plane, the second plane and the seat. Latches are provided for selectively locking the first arm, the second arm and the back in an operative position to facilitate use.
