A table that includes a table top with a first half (230) which is pivotally connected to a second half (232). The first and second halves of the table top are movable between a first position in which the halves are generally aligned and a second position in which the halves are generally placed adjacent to each other. The first (230) and second (232) halves of the table top are preferably constructed from blow-molded plastic and each of the halves desirably have a generally hollow interior. The first and second halves of the table top may include interlocking portions (234) that are interconnected when the halves are in the aligned position. Desirably, the interlocking portions (234) have generally hollow interiors that are integrally formed with the generally hollow interiors of the halves of the table top during the blow- molding process. The table top may also include one or more overlapping portions (236) that are interconnected when the halves of the table top are in aligned position. The overlapping portions (236) may also have generally hollow interiors that are integrally formed with the generally hollow interiors of the halves of the table top during the blow-molding process.
La présente invention concerne une table comprenant un plateau constitué d'une première moitié (230) reliée pivotante à une seconde moitié (232). Les première et seconde moitiés du plateau sont mobiles entre une première position dans laquelle les moitiés sont généralement alignées et une seconde position dans laquelle les moitiés sont généralement placées de manière adjacente. Les première (230) et seconde (232) moitiés du plateau sont de préférence construites à partir de plastique moulé par soufflage et chacune des moitiés présente de préférence un intérieur généralement creux. Les première et seconde moitiés du plateau peuvent comprendre des parties de blocage (234) reliées entre elles lorsque les moitiés sont en position alignée. De préférence, les parties de blocage (234) présentent des intérieurs généralement creux qui sont formés de manière solidaire par construction avec les intérieurs généralement creux des moitiés du plateau au cours du procédé de moulage par extrusion-soufflage. Le plateau peut également comprendre une ou plusieurs parties de chevauchement (236) qui sont reliées lorsque les moitiés du plateau sont en position alignée. Les parties de chevauchement (236) peuvent également présenter des intérieurs généralement creux qui sont formés de manière solidaire par construction avec les intérieurs généralement creux des moitiés du plateau au cours du procédé de moulage par extrusion-soufflage.
