A portable casino gaming device includes a data preservation system and is operable to monitor movement activity relating to the portable gaming device, and generate movement information relating to movements of the portable gaming device. In at least one embodiment, the movement information includes at least one of: data relating to rotation of the portable gaming device, data relating to displacement of the portable gaming device, data relating to velocity of the portable gaming device, data relating to acceleration of the portable gaming device, and/or data relating to an orientation of the portable gaming device. The portable gaming device may also be operable to analyze the movement information with respect to a first set of threshold criteria in order to detect an occurrence of a first critical condition or event at the portable gaming device, and to initiate at least one action in response to detection of the first critical condition or event. In at least one embodiment, the at least one action includes automatically initiating at least one operation to save selected gaming information in non-volatile memory, wherein the selected gaming information includes information relating to game play conducted at the portable gaming device.
Selon l'invention, un dispositif de jeu de casino portable comporte un système de préservation de données et est utilisable pour surveiller une activité de mouvement relative au dispositif de jeu portable et générer des informations de mouvement concernant les mouvements du dispositif de jeu portable. Dans au moins un mode de réalisation, les informations de mouvement comprennent des données d'au moins un des éléments suivants : des données concernant la rotation du dispositif de jeu portable, des données concernant le déplacement du dispositif de jeu portable, des données concernant la vitesse du dispositif de jeu portable, des données concernant l'accélération du dispositif de jeu portable et/ou des données concernant une orientation du dispositif de jeu portable. Le dispositif de jeu portable peut également être utilisable pour analyser les informations de mouvement par rapport à un premier ensemble de critères seuils afin de détecter lapparition d'une première condition critique ou dun premier événement au niveau du dispositif de jeu portable, et pour déclencher au moins une action en réponse à la détection de la première condition critique ou du premier événement. Dans au moins un mode de réalisation, la ou les actions comprennent le lancement automatique d'au moins une opération pour sauvegarder des informations de jeu sélectionnées dans une mémoire non volatile, les informations de jeu sélectionnées comprenant des informations concernant un jeu mené au niveau du dispositif de jeu portable.
