A portable gas cooking range having a burner (6) and a piezoelectric igniter (5) therefor, means for supplying gas from a gas canister to said burner and an adjustable gas regulator (4) for varying the flow of gas to the burner, is provided with a flame failure safety device comprising a thermocouple (7) located in close proximity to the burner and which is operably connected to a gas valve (8) in the gas regulator, the gas valve being capable of opening and closing according to the electromotive force produced in use by the thermocouple, so as to shut off the flow of gas through the valve if the ignited burner is accidentally or inadvertently extinguished and hence prevent escape of gas from the burner when in a non-ignited condition.
La présente invention concerne une cuisinière à gaz portative présentant un brûleur (6) et un allumeur piézo-électrique (5) destiné audit brûleur, des éléments servant à l'alimentation en gaz dudit brûleur à partir d'une bouteille de gaz, et un régulateur de gaz (4) servant à faire varier le flux de gaz arrivant au brûleur. Ladite cuisinière comprend un dispositif de sécurité en cas d'extinction de flamme comprenant un thermocouple (7) se trouvant à proximité immédiate du brûleur et étant relié de manière fonctionnelle à une soupape à gaz (8) dans le régulateur de gaz, la soupape à gaz pouvant s'ouvrir ou se fermer en fonction de la force électromotrice produite lors du fonctionnement par le thermocouple, de manière à interrompre le flux de gaz passant à travers la soupape si le brûleur après inflammation se trouve éteint accidentellement ou par inadvertance, ce qui permet d'empêcher le gaz de s'échapper du brûleur lorsqu'il n'y a pas inflammation.
