ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device in which steam is generated by electrolytic heating and is directed to a plenum chamber having an open face the walls of which are designed to engage the exposed surface of previously applied wallpaper so as to cause the steam to penetrate the wallpaper and loosen the adhesive bond between the wallpaper and the underlying substrate.
