The portable shelter is adapted for receiving a lawn mower of the type comprising a motor, a handle and wheels mounted on a frame. The shelter comprises a bag made of a flexible material for enclosing the lawn mower. The bag is provided with a closable opening sized for allowing passage of the lawn mower therethrough. A board secured to a lower portion of the bag supports the enclosed lawn mower. Wheels are provided under the board for moving the shelter. Apertures in which the front wheels of the lawn mower may be blocked are provided in the board for preventing movement of the lawn mower once enclosed in the bag.
