2136729 9324729 PCTABS00028 Waste fluid containment and recovery apparatus for installation in-line with a piping system between a pair of horizontal interfacing flanges thereof. There is a pan (10) having a bottom (26) and surrounding sidewalls (18), the bottom (26) having a bore therethrough. A flange interface having a pair of opposed interfacing surfaces which interface with respective ones of the pair of interfacing flanges (14) is disposed around the bore for sealably connecting bottom (26) in line with the piping system (16). The floor (26) can be sloped towards a drain (12) and covered with a horizontal grating floor (30) so that personnel can safely walk within the pan (10) while fluids pass through the floor to the bottom (26) below. Safety railings (20) are removably attached around the sidewalls (18).
