The invention consists of a device for allowing pets to travel in and out of a house through a sliding patio door while keeping out cold, wind, insects, etc. in the same manner as a closed door. The device comprises a compressible body formed by two elongated members connected by two or more springs. A flexible panel extends from one end of the body. The device is held in place in a sliding door by compression of the springs, with the flap at the bottom allowing the pets to travel through while maintaining an air seal in the rest position
