ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A portable power operated tool is provided herein for cutting brush, mowing and the like. The tool comprises an elongated tubular hous- ing; an engine mounted to one end of the tubular housing; a cutting imple- ment mounted to the other end of the tubular housing; a drive shaft which passes through the tubular housing for transmitting power from the engine to the cutting implement; a fixing element for receiving and fixing a front part of an operator's arm; said fixing element being located in position near the engine and long with one side of the elongated tubular housing; a first handle located in front of and spaced from the fixing element; a han- dle grip connected to the first handle and disposed on the same side with the fixing element; and a second handle located in front of and spaced from the first handle. This portable power tool permits safe, correct and nimble manipulation of the tool during cutting operations on even ground as well as uneven or sloping grounds. Moreover, the tool is capable of markedly reducing fatigue. The tool can be manipulated correctly, easily, quickly and safely.
