A portable power supply device comprises a stackable battery housing locating a plurality of batteries therein and an inverter housing locating an inverter therein which is arranged to convert the direct current from the batteries to an alternating current. The inverter housing is readily separable from the battery housing such that one or more battery housings can be readily interchangeable to provide a constant supply of power and to allow a variety of charging configurations of the batteries. First elec-trical connectors on the battery housing and second electrical connectors on the inverter housing automatically connect the invert-er to the batteries upon stacking of the inverter housing on the battery housing. Furthermore charging terminals are mounted exter-nally on the inverter housing for ready access to connect to a charging device in a convenient manner without requiring the hous-ings to be opened or separated form one another.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'alimentation transportable comprenant un boîtier de batteries pouvant être superposées contenant une pluralité de batteries et un boîtier donduleur contenant un onduleur qui est disposé pour convertir le courant continu provenant des batteries en un courant alternatif. Le boîtier d'onduleur est facilement séparable du boîtier de batteries de sorte qu'un ou plusieurs boîtiers de batteries soient facilement interchangeables afin de fournir une alimentation constante et de permettre diverses configurations de charge des batteries. Des premiers connecteurs électriques sur le boîtier de batteries et des seconds connecteurs électriques sur le boîtier d'onduleur relient automatiquement l'onduleur aux batteries au moment de l'empilement du boîtier d'onduleur sur le boîtier de batteries. De plus, des bornes de charge sont montées de manière externe sur le boîtier d'onduleur en vue d'un accès facile pour réaliser la connexion à un dispositif de charge, de manière aisée, sans nécessiter l'ouverture des boîtiers ou la séparation de ces derniers.
