ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus are provided herein for intercepting the movement of electrically-charged particles in display screen environments. The apparatus is a portable, radiation-and static- electricity-suppression and anti-glare screen. Such portable screen includes an electrically-conductive, free-standing frame, intended for grounding. A fine mesh net of an electrically-non- conductive plastics material is stretched over, and is mounted in, the frame, the fine mesh net being unsupported by a rigid backing. A plurality of longitudinally-extending, electrically- conductive wires are substantially evenly spaced across the width of the fine mesh net and are in contact with the fine mesh net and also are in electrical contact with the electrically- conductive frame. Finally, means are provided for grounding the electrically-conductive frame. Such apparatus thereby neutralizes particle flows generated by electric fields between the display screen and the reader of the display.
