A portable sign has opposed rectangular tubular frame sections. A tube member joins the tubular frame sections together for pivoting movement relative to each other. A chain extends between the frame sections for limiting an extent to which the frame sections can pivotally move allowing the sign to stand in an A shape. A placard is pivotally connected to the tube member.
