A system and method for sorting recyclable materials is portable, modular, and easy to install and/or remove. Generally, a variety of sorting equipment is placed upon a portable platform (12) that may be loaded or unloaded from a roll-off truck (14). When at the desired location, the portable platform (12) may be removed and the sorting equipment set up for use. The sorting equipment may include an infeed conveyor (22), a sorting conveyor, and a variety of automatic sorting equipment such as an aluminum blower (36), a magnet separator, and an eddy-current separator (38). The platform (12) may be simply placed on the floor or ground at the desired location or it may be elevated by a plurality of supports.
Système et procédé de triage de matières recyclables se présentant sous une forme transportable, modulaire et facile à installer et/ou à retirer. D'une manière générale, divers matériels de triage sont placés sur une plate-forme transportable (12) pouvant être chargés ou déchargés sur/d'un camion (14) de grande capacité. Lorsqu'elle se trouve à l'emplacement voulu, la plate-forme transportable (12) peut être retirée et le matériel de triage installé pour utilisation. Le matériel de triage peut comprendre un transporteur d'alimentation (22), un transporteur de triage et divers matériels de triage automatique tels qu'une souffleuse (36) à aluminium, un séparateur magnétique et un séparateur à courant de Foucault (38). La plate-forme (12) peut être placée simplement sur le plancher ou le sol à un emplacement voulu, ou elle peut être élevée au moyen d'une pluralité de support.
