A portable target stand (10) having one or more targets mounted on a target backer (12) which is adjustably supported by two vertical support posts (14) partially inserted into the ground. The target backer (12) has a left flap portion and a right flap portion which are folded and secured along the edges of the flap portions (30) to the rear surface of the target backer to form two vertical sleeves (60) into which the posts (14) are inserted. The target backer (12) also includes two opposed strength supports formed by an upper flap portion (30) and a lower flap portion (50) each folded and secured to the rear surface of the target backer (12). The support posts are inserted and functionally retained in the sleeves (56) to support the target backer.

Le panneau d'appui comprend un volet gauche et un volet droit repliés et fixés par leur bord à la surface arrière du panneau d'appui de manière à former deux manchons verticaux dans lesquels on enfile les piquets. Le panneau d'appui comporte également deux renforts opposés consistant en un volet supérieur et un volet inférieur repliés et fixés à la surface arrière du panneau d'appui. Les piquets sont enfilés dans les manchons où ils sont retenus de manière à servir de support au panneau d'appui de la cible.
