ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A toothbrush having an arm is adapted to be retractable into a casing. The casing is used as a handle when the toothbrush extends outside the casing. The arm is locked into a slot in the casing to maintain the toothbrush outside the casing and a pair of resilient legs locks the toothbrush in its retracted position through apertures in the casing. An abutting wall is secured to the arm and closes the opening in the casing through which the bristles exit when the toothbrush is in its fully extended position.
