ABSTRACT A portable work bench has two wooden bench top parts mounted on a collapsible support frame. One bench top part has an opening normally covered by a wooden cover plate. To Convert the bench into a power tool bench, the cover plate is replaced by an insert plate having a power tool (such as a circular saw) bolted beneath it. The cutting element of the power tool projects through an opening in the insert plate to cut a work piece supported on the bench top.
