ABSTRACT A portable work unit is disclosed in Figure 1 which includes a twin beam vice clamp having vice beams 10 and 11 operated by screws 12 and 13 respectively. The clamp is located on an openable six sided case which includes a back 35, a base 44, a top 43, and a front in the form of a tool tray 37 and two ends 39 and 40. In the position shown in Figure 1, the case opens out so that the various sides lies beneath the leveI of the vice beams 10 and 11 and the end 40 and top 43 can be secured together along an edge 52 whilst hanging along the side and front of a table in order to locate the unit against movement.
