A vented loudspeaker system is provided which has at least one active driver (38 or 39) and a port opening (41) in a speaker cabinet (33). Disks or baffle plates (43 and 44) are mounted a predetermined distance from and perpendicular to the port opening, resulting in a vented system achieving an equivalent performance as would result from a flared, ducted port, but with several performance advantages and simpler construction. Flow guides (45 and 46) can be provided concentric to the port and attached to the disks or baffle plates and extending back into the port to block areas of stagant air and enhance laminar air flow.
La présente invention concerne enceinte acoustique ouverte comportant au moins un excitateur actif (38 ou 39) et un orifice de sortie (41) ménagé dans l'enceinte acoustique (33). Des disques ou des écrans réducteurs de pression (43, 44) sont montés à une distance prédéterminée de l'orifice de sortie, perpendiculairement audit orifice. Le dispositif obtenu est ainsi mis à l'atmosphère et produit un effet semblable à celui que produirait un orifice en canal à forme évasée, mais avec plusieurs avantages concernant l'effet produit, et avec une construction plus simple. Les guides d'écoulement (45, 46) peuvent être concentriques par rapport à l'orifice de sortie, fixés sur les disques ou les écrans réducteurs de pression, et pénétrer vers l'intérieur par l'orifice pour bloquer les zones d'air stagnant et accroître le flux d'air laminaire.
