Systems and methods are provided for determining position location information in a wireless network. In one embodiment, timing offset information is communicated between multiple transmitters and one or more receivers. Such information enables accurate position or location determinations to be made that account for timing differences throughout the network. In another embodiment, transmitter phase adjustments are made that advance or delay transmissions from the transmitters to account for potential timing differences at receivers. In yet another embodiment, combinations of timing offset communications and/or transmitter phase adjustments can be employed in the wireless network to facilitate position location determinations.
L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés utilisés pour déterminer une information de localisation de position dans un réseau sans fil. Dans un premier mode de réalisation, l'information de décalage temporel est communiquée entre des émetteurs multiples et un ou plusieurs récepteurs. Une telle information permet d'arriver à des déterminations de position ou de localisation précises qui prennent en compte les différences de synchronisation dans le réseau. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, des réglages en phase des émetteurs sont effectués de manière à avancer ou retarder les émissions des émetteurs en question et parer ainsi aux éventuelles différences de synchronisation au niveau des récepteurs. Dans un autre mode de réalisation encore, des combinaisons de communications à décalage temporel et/ou à réglages en phase des émetteurs peuvent être exploitées dans le réseau sans fil pour faciliter les déterminations de localisation de position.
