POSITION SENSING CYLINDER Abstract of the Disclosure A fluid motor includes a piston and rod reciprocal within a cylinder. A bore extends coaxially into the piston and rod. A hollow cylindrical support tube is fixed at one end to the cylinder and is received by the bore. An armature rod has one end fixed to the piston and rod and is received by the support tube. A primary and two unequal length secondary transformer windings are wrapped around the support tube to sense the relative position of the piston and cylinders.
