A position sensor in which a voltage is applied between both ends of a resistor film (5b) formed on the surface of a resistor substrate (5) from the outside and the voltage taken out of a contactor (3) interlocked with a moving member while the contactor (3) is in contact with the resistor film (5b) is outputted. A magnetic body or magnet (4) which is interlocked with the moving member is disposed on the rear side of the substrate (5) and the contactor (3) is a cylindrical magnetic body or magnet and rolled as the magnetic body or magnet (4) moves. Thus, the durability of the position sensor is improved.
