Automatic object-positioning mechanism, comprising means for supporting the object (1), means for sensing positioning errors, means for moving the means which support the object under control (1), means for activating the means which move the object-supporting means, wherein the means for supporting the object (1) comprise an element (31), a floating plate (3) mounted on a plurality of guides (4) located at the end of two orthogonal axes and to which ball joints (6) provided with threaded bush (7) are associated; wherein the means for moving the means which support the object under control (1) are made up of a plurality of worm screws (8) engaged to electric servomotors (9), said worm screws being oriented parallel to the centering axis (h-h) of the object under control (1), being supported by a fixed frame (5) and engaging the threaded bush (7) of said ball joints (6) so that, by suitably moving the pairs of opposite screws (8), there is obtained a corresponding movement of the object about the centre of the centering axis; and wherein said flat element (31) can freely rotate about the axis (h-h), independently of the floating plate (3), and is provided with at least one toothed element (32) mashing with a screw (33) driven by a motor (34) for the rotation of the element (31) and, thus, of the object (1) about the centering axis.

Mécanisme de positionnement automatique d'objets. Le mécanisme comporte un dispositif supportant l'objet (1), un dispositif capable de déceler les erreurs de positionnement, un dispositif permettant de déplacer le support de l'objet (1) contrôlé, un dispositif actionnant celui qui déplace le support de l'objet. Le support de l'objet (1) comprend un élément (31), un plateau mobile (3) monté sur plusieurs guides (4) et situé à l'extrémité de deux axes orthogonaux auxquels sont associés des joints à rotule (6) munis de bagues filetées (7). Le dispositif permettant de déplacer le support de l'objet (1) contrôlé comporte plusieurs vis sans fin (8) engagées dans des servocommandes électriques (9). Les vis sans fin sont parallèles à l'axe de centrage (h-h) de l'objet (1) contrôlé supporté par un cadre fixe (5) et engageant les bagues filetées (7) des joints à rotule (6). Ainsi, en déplaçant les paires de vis (8) opposées, on obtient un mouvement correspondant de l'objet autour du centre de l'axe de centrage et dans lequel l'élément plat peut tourner librement autour de l'axe (h-h), indépendamment du plateau mobile (3), et l'élément plat est muni d'au moins un élément denté (32) agissant avec une vis (33) commandée par un moteur (34) pour faire tourner l'élément (31) et l'objet, par le fait même, autour de l'axe de centrage.
