The invention concerns a positive electrode material based on titanium oxysulphide for electrochemical generator and the method for making same. Said oxysulphide corresponds to formula TiO¿a?S¿3+b? in which a and b are such that: 0 < a ? 0.5; 0 < b ? 0.7. This material is obtainable by cathode sputtering from a TiS¿3? target, and can be used as cathode in an electrochemical generator comprising a lithium anode (9) and a glass electrolyte (7) of the following composition: 1B¿2?0¿3?-0, 8Li¿2?O-0, 8Li¿2?SO¿4?.

L'invention concerne un matériau d'électrode positive à base d'oxysulfure de titane pour générateur électrochimique et son procédé de préparation. Cet oxysulfure répond à la formule TiOaS3+b dans laquelle a et b sont tels que: 0 < a 0,5; 0 < b 0,7. Ce matériau peut être obtenu par pulvérisation cathodique radiofréquence à partir d'une cible de TiS3, et être utilisé comme cathode dans un générateur électrochimique comportant une anode 9 en lithium et un électrolyte 7 en verre de composition: 1B203-0,8Li2O-0,8Li2SO4.
