A positive power anterior chamber ocular implant (1) for placement in a phakic eye to correct refractive errors caused by hyperopia which includes at least one convex surface (5, 6) and means for positioning the lens in the anterior chamber of an eye, wherein contact between the lens and other anatomic bodies such as the anatomical lens, the corneal endothelium and iris is avoided , and wherein the means for positioning avoids contact with the iris. The invention is further directed to a method of preparing such an implant and a method of correcting refractive errors caused by hyperopia in a patient in need thereof comprising surgically implanting and anchoring in the anterior chamber of a phakic eye a positive power anterior chamber ocular implant comprising a positive artificial refracting lens having at least one convex surface and a means for positioning the lens in the anterior chamber of the eye.
L'invention concerne un implant oculaire convergent (1) pour chambre antérieure, destiné à être placé dans un oeil phakique afin de corriger les erreurs de réfraction provoquées par l'hypermétropie, comprenant au moins une surface convexe (5, 6) ainsi que des éléments permettant de placer la lentille dans la chambre antérieure d'un oeil, de manière à éviter le contact entre la lentille et d'autres régions de l'oeil, tels que la lentille anatomique, l'endothélium cornéen et l'iris, les éléments de positionnement permettant d'éviter tout contact avec l'iris. L'invention concerne également une technique de préparation d'un tel implant et une technique de correction des erreurs de réfraction provoquées par l'hypermétropie chez un patient requérant un tel traitement, consistant à implanter chirurgicalement et à ancrer dans la chambre antérieure d'un oeil phakique un implant oculaire convergent pour chambre antérieure comprenant une lentille réfractante artificielle convergente dotée d'au moins une surface convexe et des éléments servant à placer la lentille dans la chambre antérieure de l'oeil.
