- 15 - ABSTRACT A shade having a closure member to be moved from one end of an opening to the other and between a stored and an extended position for the shade, the shade comprising a roller at one end of the shade. Means to drive the roller. At least one draw cord extending from the roller to a distal end of the shade. An actuator bar attached to the cord. An engagement mechanism acts to stop the shade at a predetermined position in the opening. There is a stopping device that enables stopping of the shade in a desired position in the opening. The engagement mechanism can be overcome to allow movement of the shade.
