An insert for assisting and easing the task of setting fence posts or the like into a concrete or aggregate footing. The invention comprises: two identical half-forms, which when faced 180 degrees to each other, interlock together to form a full form, a snap-on level, and locking rim. Installing a post into concrete becomes a much- simplified task by means of the present invention whereby, after boring a posthole into the ground, the installer simply snaps together the identical half-forms, snaps on the snap-on level, then casts the now full form into the concrete; adjusting for levelness while placing the concrete into the posthole. No bracing is required since the only force exerted onto the insert. The post can be slid downwardly into the insert once the concrete has set, then slides the locking rim onto the upper edge perimeter of the full form thus creating a quasi-seal surrounding a perfectly level post.

L'invention a trait à un insert conçu pour faciliter l'installation de piquets de clôture ou d'articles similaires dans une semelle de béton ou d'agrégat. L'invention comprend deux demi-coffrages identiques qui, une fois placés face à face, selon un angle de 180 degrés, s'emboîtent de façon à former un coffrage encliquetable complet à bourrelet de fixation à niveau. La pose d'un poteau dans le béton s'en trouve grandement simplifiée, vu qu'il n'y a plus qu'à creuser un trou dans le sol, à monter les deux demi-coffrages encliquetables par pression, puis a couler le coffrage complet dans le béton en mettant celui-ci à niveau lorsque l'on verse le béton dans le trou. Aucun support temporaire n'est requis, car la seule force exercée est sur l'insert. Il n'y a qu'à faire glisser le poteau vers le bas dans l'insert, une fois le béton durci, et celui-ci se mettra en place, les bourrelets de fixation formant, sur le pourtour du coffrage, un joint quasi-étanche parfaitement à niveau entourant le poteau.
